Mental health

We help people move on from institutional care and into their own home or support people to remain within their homes during periods of crisis.

What we do

We co-create plans with each individual, detailing preferred outcomes and advanced plans for periods of flucuating mental health.

Working closely with the person and their family – as well as with health, housing social work and voluntary agencies – we're able to help people achieve outcomes that improve mental and physical wellbeing.

We also support people with tenancy management, home care, health care, attending appointments, getting into, or staying in, work and developing social networks.

Wheatley Care also works with See Me to reduce the stigma associated with poor mental health.

This included the much-acclaimed Ensemble project which encouraged people to write songs around their personal experiences. Find out more about the Ensemble in Our stories.

“Staff here are always very responsive to issues we raise. Staff act on things very quickly. We’re very lucky to be independent.”
