Wheatley Care’s Edinburgh SDS Mental Health Service provides person‑centred, recovery‑focused support to adults experiencing mental health challenges. Working within the Self‑Directed Support (SDS) framework, the service promotes choice, independence, and wellbeing, offering flexible support to help individuals achieve positive outcomes, build resilience, and remain connected to their communities.

Our Edinburgh service supports people to take control of their own support through SDS. We work collaboratively with individuals and their care team to co‑design flexible, personalised support that reflects their mental health needs, strengths and personal goals.

We are looking for people who are compassionate, recovery‑focused and committed to empowering individuals to live well.

At Wheatley Care, we believe that personalised mental health support starts with the person, not the service. Our experienced teams provide flexible, creative and high‑quality support that helps people build confidence, maintain wellbeing and live as independently as possible.

As part of Wheatley Group, you will also benefit from an excellent employment package, including:

  • 7.6 weeks’ annual leave (pro rata)
  • Essential car user allowance (where applicable)
  • Staff discount scheme
  • Occupational pension
  • Generous health plan including optical and dental support
  • Family‑friendly policies

A wide range of learning and development opportunities to support your career

What we are looking for
As part of a wider care organisation, you should have – or be willing to work towards – an SSSC‑recognised qualification such as SVQ2 Health and Social Care.
Wheatley Care will support you to achieve all necessary qualifications within an agreed timeframe, and your commitment to working towards these is essential.

You will also be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme, and we can support you with this process.

We offer a supportive, inclusive and values‑driven workplace. Wheatley Group is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and is proud to be an equal opportunities employer.
