Further Information

We provide a Housing Support Service for 25 people who have a history of alcohol misuse and are homeless, at risk of homelessness or have indicated they do not wish to receive planned support to address their issues.

The service provides support across Glasgow to individuals within a range of settings including emergency accommodation, bed and breakfast, temporary and permanent accommodation.

We provide support to help individuals with:

  • motivation and taking responsibility
  • self-care and living skills
  • managing money
  • social networks and relationships
  • drug and alcohol misuse
  • physical health
  • emotional and mental health
  • meaningful use of time
  • managing tenancy and accommodation
  • offending.

How to make a referral

You must meet the following criteria:

  • history of non-engagement.
  • homeless or at risk of becoming homeless
  • alcohol dependent.

All referrals should include the named Care Manager and should be sent to the Service Commissioning Officer, Kim McDonald. The referral will be considered and passed on to our Health and Wellbeing team.

If a referral is suitable, a Health and Wellbeing Team Leader will contact the relevant Care Manager and arrange an initial contact visit.

The service provides 12-hour support time per week to each individual and includes travel and administration. We work with a waiting list.
